Encryption

Everything is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS. The text of your mail and documents gets a second layer of encryption under a key that belongs to your company and to nobody else.

Who can see it

Nobody at Apex has a screen that shows your documents or notes, and the database never logs your content. Every company sits behind a fence enforced by the database itself, so one company's brain cannot be read from another's.

Leaving

Disconnect a tool and its raw records are deleted immediately. Leave Apex and your company's key is destroyed, which makes any copy left in a backup unreadable. Backups are kept for 35 days.
